UV LED filter

In-line UVC LED water sterilizers for water purifiers and appliances, in 2, 2.5 and 5 L/min capacities.

UV LED filter models

Overview

The JIN INTER UV LED filter disinfects water as it flows. Water passes through a quartz tube while UVC LEDs outside the tube irradiate it, damaging the DNA/RNA of microorganisms so they can no longer reproduce. No mercury and no chemicals are used. The compact, low-power module runs from a DC 24 V supply and drops into the water line of a purifier or appliance.

Designed to simplify your product

The module is robust, frugal and easy to power, which keeps the circuit and the parts around it as simple as possible.

Withstands water pressure and water hammer

Built to tolerate high water pressure and the water hammer caused by valve opening and closing, for up to 150,000 cycles. Maximum water pressure: 100 PSI.

Low power consumption

Only 2.5 W, 3.5 W or 5.5 W (±15%) at DC 24 V, depending on the model.

Shares your DC power supply

Runs on DC 24 V, so it can use the same DC supply as the other electrical components in your product. No separate power source is needed.

Can be powered continuously

It can be energized all the time, so no dedicated switching or timing circuit is required. Keep water inside the unit at all times and avoid dry operation.

How it works

UVC LEDs irradiating water inside the quartz tube
  1. 1

    Water in

Microorganisms enter with the flowing water.

  2. 2

    UVC zone

UVC LEDs outside the quartz tube irradiate the water and damage microbial DNA/RNA, preventing reproduction.

  3. 3

    Water out

The UVC-treated water flows out of the outlet, with nothing added to it.

Mercury-free and chemical-free

Disinfects with UVC light only, without mercury or chemical disinfectants.

High UV utilization

A ray-tracing-based reflective structure directs the UVC light into the water and limits light loss.

UV shielding for fittings

Reduces UV exposure of internal fittings and plastic tubing, protecting them from UV degradation.

Compact inline design

A small cylindrical body fits into the water line, even where installation space is limited.

Water-safe construction

SUS 304 stainless steel housing and water-safe materials for water treatment applications.

Clear LED indicator

A built-in LED shows the operating status at a glance.

Three models by flow rate

All models share the same DC 24 V supply, UVC wavelength and 100 PSI pressure rating. Choose by the flow your product needs.

Installation and operating notes

  • Install after filtration. Place the unit in the drinking water line after the filters and before the tap or dispenser.
  • Stay within the flow range. Below the minimum flow the LED is not cooled enough; above the rated flow the sterilization effect is reduced.
  • Keep water inside. Run the unit with water in it and avoid dry operation, to prevent thermal stress on the UVC LED.
  • Use clear water. Recommended for drinking water with UV transmittance (UVT) of 95% or higher. Lower UVT reduces UVC transmission.
